Edition Notes: This impression bears the circular estate stamp of Rosalind Birnie Philip indicating that it is a posthumous impression.Posthumous impressions were printed by the GOULDING Frederick firm on the 26th May 1904.Lifetime impressions were printed by Thomas WAY (England 1837-1915) in 1888". The watermark on this lithograph also suggests that the impression is a Goulding reprint as it is listed as a posthumous watermark in the Chicago Institute Catalogue Raisonne of Whistler's lithographs.
