This lithograph has the lifetime stamp of Rosalind Birnie Philip [Whistler's executrix and sister- in- law] which indicates this impression is one printed during Whistler's life. This impression is one of the 35 printed before the published edition of 3000 machine printed impressions printed for "The Studio 47, no.10,( 15 February 1897) and " The International Studio 1, no1( March 1897).
