Woman in bath [Woman and bath; Woman in bathroom] (1940) Title Notes: NGA cardboard mount 55.8 x 40.4 cm. Illus. Joseph Brown Mar 1981 "Russell Drysdale Drawings 1935-80", cat. no. 17 as "Woman in bathroom". Eagle and Minchin: "The George Bell School - Students, Friends and Influences" p265 gives this as an earlier name, superseded by "Woman in bath", apparently from NGA advice. Listed in original Joseph Brown invoice (file 76/0537 f190) as "Woman and bath", with serial number 8022. The superseding title as published by Eagle and Minchin has been retained, as has the estimated date of 1940. (KA 20/11/01)
