However, the fuller title "Study for the lithograph and the painting 'On the rings' " allocated by NGA is preferred as relating the drawing more accurately to the derivative works. Illustrated in Sasha Grishin: "The art of John Brack" (OUP1990), catalogue raisonne no. p212. The derivative painting "On the rings" is illustrated in Robert Lindsay: "John Brack - A retrospective exhibition" (NGV 1987) p70 & cat. no. 92.
