Creation Notes: Robert Motherwell began collaborating with Kenneth Tyler on 'El Negro' in 1981. The book was editioned in 1983.
'Black with no way out' was started on the 22 of February 1981. The print was finished on the 8 November 1982. The plate was printed in a seperate edition on the 3 January 1983 and signed by the artist on the 30 January 1983. The plate was cancelled on the 14 February 1983.
