Creation Notes: Frank Stella began 'Juam, state I' in 1991 during the creation of his series of prints 'Imaginary places'. The work was editioned in 1997.

prints, relief, intaglio colour relief, woodcut, etching and aquatint printed from one assembled plate comprised of one carved plywood base with 66 irregularly shaped elements (one honeycomb aluminium plate, 24 copper plates, one bronze, four aluminium and 14 brass poured elements, 22 aluminium rings) and two magnesium plates on handcoloured paper Support: 2 sheets of white TGL handmade hand-coloured paper
