Edition Notes: TGL papermaking by Tom Strianese and Jed Marshall. Aluminum plate preparation and processing, proofing and edition printing of all printing elements and hole punching by Lee Funderburg. Preparation and adhering of collage elements by Michael Mueller and Scott Lewis. Nine colour (including two coloured papers and coloured threads) woodcut, relief, lithograph printed on two sheets from three woodblocks, one assembled plate made from circles cut from a rubber printing blanket, one aluminum plate and one linoleum block. The following colours were printed : pink, blue-grey, blue-grey, blue-grey, white, white and white. Holes were punched after printing. The two sheets were adhered and the artist stitched each print using green, black, gold and turquoise-blue threads. The papers for the top layer were created by the artist in January and February of 1989 while collaborating with papermakers at the Gandhi Ashram paper mill in Ahmadabad, India. At the mill, the papers were stitched together and were untied at TGL leaving perforations in the surface.
