Rosalie Gascoigne’s lived in Canberra and created many of her works of art there. She liked to use found materials from her local environment  Did you notice that in Chatting up she has used wood from disused crates? Can you recognise the parrots? Ask a grown up if they know what kind of parrots they are and where they might have come from.

Activity: Think about the materials in your recycling bin at home. Could you make something from these materials instead of throwing them away?
