Edition Notes: This group of three Mylar sheets were once part of a Mylar 'sketchbook' put together by Kenneth Tyler for Hockney to use whilst travelling. The Mylar sketchbooks allowed Hockney to draw and paint 'in situ' whilst simultaneously creating the colour seperations required for printing. In this case, the artist drew directly onto the Mylar sheet with crayon. As a group, these three Mylars were made into printing elements and used to print the work entitled 'Gregory'. This work was never editioned. However, 'Gregory' did inform David Hockney's published 'An image of Gregory' (DH85-827) from the 'Moving focus' series of 1984-5. Five colours used:red, brown, black (Sheet A), pink (Sheet B), blue (Sheet C).
