Valentine for Mr Wonderful is a book of seven hand-printed intaglios by Helen Frankenthaler enclosed in a paper folio with a cloth-covered box. The book includes the poem "St Valentine" by William Carlos Williams (taken from William Carlos Williams Collected Poems 1939-1962 Volume II) printed in lithography on the inside of the folio cover. The colophon text inside back folio cover was printed lithographically. All books are signed and numbered by the artist on the colophon page. Helen Frankenthaler created the colour intaglios at Tyler Graphics in January 1995. Printing by Anthony Kirk, Susan Hover, Kathy Cho, Yasuyuki Shibata and Brian Maxwell. Offset lithographic text set in Adobe Garamond typeface and printed from an aluminium plate by Lee Funderburg.
