A nine colour lithograph, including one pulp colour and seven dye colours, printed from one aluminium plate. First, the handmade paper was handcoloured using light pink pulp and yellow, red-brown, light brown, brown and dark brown dyes applied on a newly made white pulp base sheet using brushes and by spraying with a pattern pistol through handcut plastic stencils. After the paper was pressed and dried, black was printed from an aluminium plate. Orange-yellow and red-yellow dyes were applied on the dampened paper using brushes.
Papermaking by Tom Strianese assisted by Jed Marshall and Paul Imboden. Image stencils handcut by Strianese. Prep work for continuous tone lithography by Kenneth Tyler. Plate preparation, processing and proofing by Tyler and Lee Funderburg assisted by John Hutcheson. Edition printing by Kevin Falco assisted by Hutcheson and Eric Ting.
