Edition Notes: TGL papermaking by Tom Strianese and Jed Marshall. Aluminum plate preparation and processing, proofing and edition printing of all printing elements by Lee Funderburg. Preparation and adhering of collage elements by Michael Mueller and Scott Lewis. Seven colour (including two coloured papers) woodcut, relief, lithograph, collage printed on two sheets from one woodblock (both sides of block used), one linoleum block, and one aluminum plate. The following colours were printed: blue-grey, red-grey, blue-grey, red-grey and black. After printing, the two sheets were adhered. The papers for the middle layer were created by the artist in January and February of 1989 while collaborating with papermakers at the Gandhi Ashram paper mill in Ahmadabad, India. At the mill, the papers were stitched together and were untied at TGL leaving perforations in the surface.
