Edition Notes: Colour lithograph printed in three colours: black, ochre and red. Text (verso) printed in two colours: black and grey. This image is printed on a triple fold out page and is the twelfth image in the portfolio. Robert Motherwell prepared the nineteen lithographic images in 'El Negro' on Mylar and acetate sheets using Paintstiks, grease pencils and alcohol tusche which he applied with brushes and a bamboo pen. The images were transferred to aluminium plates by Lee Funderburg. The plates were printed by Funderburg and Roger Campbell on a flat bed offset press. Papermaking by Steve Reeves and Tom Strianese.
