A three colour woodcut printed from three woodblocks in the following order: white, yellow and black. Two teakwood blocks (used to print yellow and black) were carved by artisans in Ahmadabad, Indis in 1978, under the supervision of the artist. In 1980, Lichtenstein brought the unproofed blocks to the workshop for printing. The blocks were adhered to plywood panels to remove the warping that had occurred and to prevent further splitting and distortion. The blocks were also reworked to improve registrationand one new walnut block (used to print white) was also carved.
Proofing by Kenneth Tyler, Roger Campbell and Lee Funderburg, edition printing by Campbell and Funderburg. The carving of new block by Campbell and reworking of existing blocks by Funderburg.
