Developed from her work as a wildlife illustrator, Rish Gordon’s engraved glass concentrates on Australian flora and fauna, particularly marsupials. This work shows carefully observed characteristics of the Australian sugar glider, with several animals depicted crawling through branches of native trees. The sandblasted four-colour technique allows light to be manipulated, suggesting the dappled environment of the Australian bush.
