Greg Daly has described this work as ‘Moon light on tall spear grass, shining gold and silver blue’, alluding to the light quality of the rural surrounds of his Cowra environment. He developed this work during research into the history of lustre glazing and has a particular interest in the late 19th century lustre glazed ceramics of French potter, Clément Massier.
