Edition Notes: Rossier was in was in Bangkok in 1861 on commission to assemble stereoview for London stereograph publishers Negretti and Zambra . Photo historian Terry Bennet has advised that while ' in Bangkok French zoologist Firmin Bocourt who had arrived on 10th December on a scientific expedition, commissioned Rossier to complete a portfolio of ‘Siamese Types’ . Bennett believes this work is from that commission.
