Massive microscopic bud
Adelaide, South Australia, Australia
Materials & Technique: glass, glass: blown; silver leaf
Social commentary and serious subject matter underpin the humorous tone of Tom Moore’s glass assemblages. This work develops Moore’s theme of nature triumphing over industry and social constructions. The quirky nature of his work belies the skill required to realise Moore’s ideas by utilising traditional glass-making skills such as blowing and hot-forming in innovative ways.
