Joanna Bone’s work is inspired by the forms and patterns of natural objects such as sea shells and the skins and carapaces of marine invertebrates. Bone blows attenuated glass forms from multilayered glass canes which she carves through to reveal intricate structural patterns that suggest the minute and random variations that occur in the natural world.
