Secondary Insc: engraved on lid: "PRESENTED/TO/Joseph Watts Esq.r/By one who has at all times and/under all circumstances in Prosperity/& Adversity found him a true & faithful/Friend, God Bless & Prosper you & yours./JWR/Sydney. August 4th 1854."
