Edition Notes: Matthew Couper performed 'Over, Over, Over, Over, Over, Over & Over' at Sydney Contemporary in September 2015. This performance utilsed the repetition of printmaking to complete 4 new prints, each in an edition of 15 during the art fair. Tha artist was dressed as a Nosferatu character (a symbol of the undead) and hand-made the relief prints one-by-one, burnishing the paper with an old spoon and assessing whether the works would make it into the edition. If the works did not make it into the edition they were torn up on the spot.
The durational performance also follows themes of weight, pressure and portability, explored by other PAUL NACHE artists at Sydney Contemporary 2015.
