Study for the painting and the lithograph 'Arabesque' [Study for Arabesque] 1973 Title Notes: Original invoice (file 72/1541 f80) gives title "Study for Arabesque". However, the fuller title "Study for the the painting and the lithograph 'Arabesque' " allocated by NGA is preferred as more accurately linking the drawing to the derivative painting and lithograph. Illustrated in Sasha Grishin: "The art of John Brack" (OUP1990), catalogue raisonne no. p183. The painting is illustrated in Sasha Grishin as catalogue raisonne no. o214. Acc. no. 80. 1467 is the derivative lithograph "Arabesque" of 1977 (4 years after the drawing).
