Edition Notes: The relief mould was constructed from brass screening and mahogany slats sewn together with brass wire. The moulds were dipped into a cotton slurry to form a thick relief of paper pulp, which was hand patted to improve the edge definition. The relief mould was constructed by Betty Fiske and Kim Tyler. The first trials were formed by John Koller and Kenneth Tyler. The edition reliefs were formed by John and Kathleen Koller at HMP. Frank Stella was assisted by John Koller and Kenneth Tyler in the hand colouring of the newly made paper pulp reliefs with paper pulp, dyes and dry pigments. On the editioned works, additional collaged HMP paper pieces were added. Once the reliefs were dry and removed from their moulds, the artist applied acrylic, casein, watercolour and metallic paints.
