Study for the etching "Jockeys returning" [Jockeys] 1956 Title Notes: Original invoice (file 72/1541 f119) gives title "Jockeys". However, the fuller title "Study for the etching 'Jockeys returning' " allocated by NGA is preferred as indicating more accurately the relationship of the drawing to the derivative etching. Illustrated in Sasha Grishin: "The art of John Brack" (OUP1990) as catalogue raisonne no. p58, with title "Jockeys". See acc. no. 71.120 for the derivative etching "Jockeys returning". (KA 4/6/03)
