Edition Notes: Ten lithographs published in an edition of one hundred, with about sixty sets issued in half linen portfolio with on the front cover wither the lithograph "Selbstbildnis mit Koffer" or a lithographed list of titles. Printed on velin by C. Naumann's Druckerei, Frankfurt am Main, sometimes titled by the artist. The series scheme is five pairs of complementary vignettes whose contrasts establish their meaning. Plates 1 and 10 are introduction and conclusion, each other pair is a juxtaposition between an even and odd number, plates 2 and 3 etc.
