Primary Insc: Signed lower right in pen and black ink, 'Emile Mercier'. Dated verso centre in ballpoint pen, '1963'. Titled upper edge in black pencil, and again on paper fixed to lower edge of work in typescript, 'We must be getting near a surfing beach, I can hear transistors!'.
Tertiary Insc: Inscribed upper left in ballpoint pen, 'Sun Mag / Fri / 4½ in wide / OM 5626'.
