Edition Notes: In 1980, Ed Baynard created a series of 81 monotypes (published 1981), consisting of six diptychs and 75 single sheet images, all printed on white TGL handmade paper. The artist worked on the flatbed offset press, painting directly on a polished magnesium plate with lithographic inks mixed with solvents and varnishes. Kenneth Tyler worked with Baynard, blend rolling and inking each plate with brayers before the artist began to paint. During the printing sessions Tyler was assisted by Roger Campbell and Lee Funderburg. After each impression was pulled, the image was reworked with ink by the artist.
