Edition Notes: The artist created his images on prepared mylar and acetate sheets using brushes and a bamboo pen. Lee Funderburg transferred these images onto aluminium plates and with Roger Campbell printed the lithographs on a flat bed off-set press. Papermaking by Steve Reeves and Tom Strianese. The text is offset printed, Spanish in black, English in grey. Sequence of prints in the book are as folows: front end leaf, title page, Negro, preface, Mourning, poem, Night arrived, Elegy black black, Black banners, Black of the echo, Eternal black, Black wall of Spain, Airless black, Black concentrated, Black in black, Forever black, Invisible stab, Black lament, Black with no way out, Gypsy curse, Black undone by tears, Through black emerge purified, Poor Spain, colophon page, and back end leaf.
